Ok, found a site that will host PDF files that your supporters DON'T have to sign into. The site is called issue and it will not only host your file but it also makes it visually cooler.

Here's an example.

Once you sign up on issuu you can download you pdf file. Simply brows and select the file you want to upload. Issuu requires you to title your publication, add a description, and a minimum of 2 comma separated keywords. The keywords are the biggest bummer because you have to have them and they will cause other publications to come up on a side panal once your supporter downloads them. It's kind of the sites way to advertise other publications. It's a bit annoying but as long as you pick good keywords like church, or ministry it shouldn't be a problem.

Moving on...

Now that you filled all of that out one more suggestion for your privacy. At the bottom of the page you will see three tabs: Media, Publishing Options, and Sharing Options. Press on "Publishing Options" and you can choose to keep your publication private. This is the only time you have to choose this option so if you don't want anyone but your supporters seeing your newsletter I would choose this.

Note: If for some reason you do forget to make your newsletter private you can always delete it and upload it again. So no worries.

Once your image is uploaded and processed (sometimes this takes a while) you can go to your library and see your document. In order to get your file's web address so you can send it to your supporters via Coco you will need to check the box next to your newsletter and then press "share."

Finally, you can copy the link that you see at the bottom of the page. You can either copy the line or press the link that says "copy". If you press the link once you get a message that says "copied to clipboard" you are good to go.

Note: Notice that there are Twitter and Facebook icons below. If you can use those icons in this pane to post your newsletter there as well!

Now open up Coco and go to the "Updates" section by clicking on the "Updates" link.

On the updates menu select "New Entry."

Now paste the Address you copied in the "Link to PDF newsletter" box. (Again you can do this either by right-clicking in the box and selecting "paste" or by pushing the "Ctrl" button at the same time as the "v" button.)

Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and press "Preview."

Your email should look like this. To test it and make sure it worked click on the "download this file" link to see if it works. You should be prompetd to download your file and if you followed the tutorial it should work. biggrin.gif
